Long rectangle blinds and trapezium shapes
Pleated, pinoleum and roman blinds are well suited to long rectangle shapes. Their support cables stop blind movement from side to side as the blind is operated. They fold back neatly and don’t require stay flat cording and sometimes not equipleat if shaped blinds are not present.
Rectangle roller roof blinds with over a 3 metre drop can tend to track off. This means that as the fabric returns it can shift to left or right eventually catching the bracket. The edge of the fabric can be damaged and functionality of the blind impaired. Support cords can be added at extra cost but pleated, pinoleum or roman blind systems are a better alternative.
If trapezium shaped blinds are required roller blinds will have a 5mm dowel to be sewn into the fabric and an additional cord attached to support the corner. This is not the case with pinoleum, pleated and roman roof blinds making them a better alternative for this shape.
